i had a roommate that ran his cell phone through the washing machine once. He took it all apart and let it dry out and it worked again, so you may still have a chance.

When i decide to wash my phone in the washing machine, or go swimming with it in my shorts, or hot tubbing, i find that popping it into the dryer wrapped in clothing for paddin g usually dries it out nicely. I then plug the phone back into thhe outlet, and turn it on. HHas worked everytime. The last time in the hot tub left some cool watermarks on my screen too :)

I am not a person who should own an expensive phone.

In case you were wondering, cheap one piece nokia.

Hmmm...

It's been drying all day, but with coffee on it. That might be the problem. I might try to send it in to see if they can do anything, though I'm tempted to just put it through the wash now. I should have stuck with Nokia...I have a Siemens and it's just not as good-in my eyes.

We'll see. Thanks for the tip.

One time I dropped a brand new walkman in a toilet. It wouldn't work, but I decided that since I had gotten the service plan, to fish it out dry it out, and take it back saying "for some reason it just stopped working." I think they knew that I had done something like that, but they couldn't prove it, so they gave me a new one.

I think the strong coffee smell would give it away...
