When the law says that you can pick a fight with someone, wait until the victim starts to fight back, and then kill them in "self defense", the law is an ass.
Unfortunately, that's the law in Florida right now, so it will be pretty difficult to prosecute the killer. The tampering of a witness by police may be enough to bring in federal civil rights charges, but that's a lot more complicated than just charging an unprovoked killing as murder, like it should be.
