CBS finally released a promo for the 4th season of Elementary (tbh I can't believe the show's been around that long), and it looks great. I'm really curious about how they'll handle the whole Oscar-fiasco and hope we'll see a lot more of Alfredo while it's going on. And I spy: a Sherlock/Joan hug (OMG), John Noble being awesome, Joan looking ( Read more... )

I'm honestly so stoked for the fourth season! It looks so good, and eeee! Joan/Sherlock hug! I love these two kids and their shenanigans and I want to see where it all goes, especially with Sherlock's father entering the picture. Should be interesting.

Me too! I'm really looking forward to the appearance of Holmes Sr., there has been so little actual information about him so far that I'm very curious. I just hope the show manages to stay balanced, because after they introduced Mycroft in S2 they used him so much that I just ended up annoyed whenever he showed up... but, whatever, S3 was so good that I'm optimistic.

Well, still not as much as I'd like but more than they used to. She definitely got more storylines in S3, and was the emotional focus during the second half of the season. [Spoiler]She had a boyfriend, Andrew, and while she was still contemplating if she wanted a "normal" relationship, he ended up murdered by a woman Joan put in jail, so the focus is on her really struggling to maintain her "conventional" life with her job as a detective and if she even wants that anymore. It raises some interesting questions, and it's a nice change to see Sherlock actually making an effort to be there for her instead of the other way around. There was also another arc concerning her mother, that will probably carry over into the next season.

You should give it another try! S2 was weak (you can skip most of it), but S3 really turned it around with great arcs for both Kitty (Sherlock's new student whose arc kind of mirrors Sherlock's S1 one) and Joan.

Me neither! Tbh, I had no idea he was still acting. I think so too.
