1. This is an an anonymous art and fic exchange. It means that in order to receive a gift you'll have to create something in return. You will know for whom you draw/write, but you won't know who draws/writes for you. It also means that you cannot reveal the authorship of your work to anyone and you cannot post your work elsewhere before the master

Things I would like to see: purely friendly interactions (a night at the Evans or summer vacation vignette for example), maybe an AU where they are sort of fuck buddies *giggles at the thought*, for the truly adventurous-pegging (not necessarily D/s or BDSM but just a bit of fun in the sack), happy or bittersweet ending, or maybe them making up either before she dies or an AU where she doesn't die and they are friends
Things I don't want to see under any circumstances : Unrequited love, Lily running off into the sunset with James and rubbing Severus's nose in it, preferably little mention of James at all unless it's very non-confrontational, rape, non-con, stuff like scat, bloodplay

I doubt the people who were unable to participate last time would appreciate you listing their names like that. You have no idea why they had to drop out, and it seems quite rude of you to let everyone know who they are.

Also, I happen to know quite a few of these people (I mean, it's a really small ship for those who were around before Deathly Hallows), and some of them didn't even drop out. randomneses really wanted to participate, but there was a mix-up with the confirmation email so she didn't get it back within three days, and she was very disappointed she wasn't able to participate. She never dropped out at all, and I don't see why an oversight should bar her from participating again, if she wanted to.

This is just a fandom fic/art exchange, right? And not even for one of the most popular ships that might need more regulation. Certainly there should be rules to keep things orderly but there's no need to be overzealous. To repeat the old adage: fandom is not srs bzns. :)

It wasn't a case of a mix-up with Randomneses, but since you are not her, I won't discuss it with you. She wasn't the only person who was disappointed with how it turned out.

The fest is supposed to be fun, for the mods, too. Before the fun part begins however, there is a lot of time- and effort-consuming preparations. Mod's main task is to ensure that everyone will get their gift. Last year we were very close to not achieving that goal: we had 50% drop out. I can't imagine a situation when someone doesn't receive their gift, and when complaining about it, is told 'Relax, it's fun, not srs bzns'.

The most important fact about fandom is that it's not obligatory. We get to decide whether we want to do it and whether we have time to do it.

And tut-tut for calling Lily/Sev 'not the most popular ship'. Of course it is, some people won't admit it, that's all ;)

What I'd like to see in my gift: I suppose "anything" is bad and vague. So maybe some angst/ust, conflict, something fraught with flashbacks

What I'd like to see in my gift: why they're friends/would be romantically interested in each other, their relationship during the summer vs. school year; I encourage great freedom with the "Snape didn't give Harry all his memories" premise (even to the point of some sort of make-up after the scene outside Gryffindor Tower), but not entirely AU; a scene between them, fairly civil and positive, which makes them remember how they were once best friends, in the last year before she dies
What I definitely don't want to see in my gift: Snape unrequited, too much angst, hate!sex, extreme kinks, underage, too much focus on the Marauders (besides Remus)
