God promises never to leave us nor forsake us, and all of His promises are good. However, there are times when we feel as though He has drawn away from us. Some people call these times of testing, others say that we're too focused on the "stuff" in our lives -- I'm not going to claim to know the answer.

But I do know that He loves you, that all of your friends love you, and the last thing we want is for you to go to sleep and never wake up. Please find someone to talk to, whether it's Father Matt or someone else you trust. I care about you, and I hate to see you this way.

I know He would never leave me, but I feel like I may have left Him without fully realizing it, and I feel like I can't go back even though I know thats ridiculous and not true.

That's a lie straight from Satan -- he's told me the same one, too many times. But a lie it is, and a lie it will remain. Our Father loves us, and that is why He lets us come back, that is why He holds out his hand to us.

Thank you. I'm now thinking about how when God was leading His people to the Promise Land, they turned away from Him sooooo many times and He still wanted to take them back each time. I guess that goes for me too. ::shakes away dark phase:: Praise the Lord! I thought that would never go away.

Lynsie, you gotta let God hold you. If you don't have motivation, maybe it's b/c you aren't being straight with God. Whenever you feel crap outta luck and no motivation, that is satan right there. These are the times where you don't feel like this. This is when satan can break in your heart and leave you life in total dissaray. I'm here. and most of all. YOu got your number one fan watching right over you. I love you and i'll be on my knees for you. I understand. I only say I understand if i really do. I'm just now coming out from the biggest time of turmoil of my life when I was wanting to just sleep my life away. I would come home and sleep until midnight... get up... eat... and sleep more. sleep at school (if I actually went

i swear sometimes we have the same life, haha
but really. i know you're through this dark phase, or getting through it anyhow... but it is truly comforting to know that God wants us - regardless of how foul and wretched we are, regardless of how many times we turn away from Him. He still accepts us back with open arms (think Prodigal son). He promises to work all things together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28, i think. heck, read all of romans 8. it's chock full of wonderful promises).

but i understand your confusion and lost feelings. i have them myself.
