A year later, the morning after the motorcycle accident, my mother is strangling me in the ICU, muttering, You little shit, the heart monitor wildly peaking, a nurse coming in to drag her off. After I've spent the nght in surgery, after I drove off the road, after I ditched the bike to avoid hitting a stone wall. In prose and verse, French capitalization is the same as English except that the following terms are not capitalized in French unless they begin sentnces or, sometimes, lines of verse: (1) the subject pronoun je 'I,' (2) the names of months and days of the week, (3) the names of languages, (4) adjectives derived from prpoer nouns, (5) titles preceding personal names, and (6) the words meaning "street," "square," "lake," "mountain," and so on, in most place-names.

It is well.
But ye conceal them,
And make them reach
Those [really] in need,
That is best for you:
It will remove from you
Some of your [stains
Of] evil.
