Has anybody seen the movies Volver or Babel? Has anybody seen both? Would you like to strongly recommend or discourage us from seeing either of these movies tomorrow?

I really liked Volver, but I like Almodóvar films & it's fairly typical of him I think

I'll echo la magdalena. I saw Volver Saturday night, and I -- of course -- loved it. I'm kind of an Almodóvar groupie, but even those people who aren't unconditionally loving (i.e. the professional critics) were very kind to it.

I've seen both and loved them both and I think you will like them too since you're a writer and you're interested in the tumultous crevices of the mind. Did you see the reviews of those films on my lj?

I think you have to be logged in to see them since a lot of my entries are friends only now. But I dont know if the reviews are worth reading now. I think Babel is good but you will feel destroyed after seeing it but Volver is a tiny bit more uplifting and hopeful.

i am probably too late, but babel! i've been wanting to see volver for months, but it is only playing at one theatre far away.
