Caroline has become one of my favorite characters this season. It helps that she has the same name as me... ;)
My other favorite is Elena. Also, Bonnie and Stefan.

Srsly? STEFAN is your favorite? And Damon doesn't even make the list?! Friendship: OVER. :p Although since Caroline is #1 I'm willing to reconsider, IF you recant and admit you were on drugs when you wrote the above. Never let it be said I'm unreasonable!

Uh, Damon is a DICK. Stefan is a "good vampire" (in the vampire shows always have a "good"-and a-"bad"-vampire meaning of the word) who isn't super boring. I like that he's interesting (he's the real "bad" vampire! Or he was at start!) and treats Elena like an equal and stuff.
Damon's whole redemption arc is interesting, true, but I still want to hit him way too often for him to be a favorite character.
Also, what about what Damon did to Caroline? I AM SO NOT FORGIVING HIM FOR THAT. CAROLINE IS A FAVORITE CHARACTER, AFTER ALL.

Stefan is SO BORING. Seriously, everytime he's on screen my brain *hurts*, that's how boring he is. You know how boring he is? I PREFER BILL AND ANGEL, THAT IS HOW BORING HE IS. Atleast Bill has the decency of being hilariously lame and Angel has his alter-ego of awesomeness, but Stefan? He's like vanilla custard mixed with beige paint on a piece of cardboard. ONLY LESS INTERESTING.
Also, what did Damon do to Caroline? I mean, other than make her an awesome, badass vampire? Because that alone is enough to make me forgive him for just about anything.
