Sansa was just on fire last night!! Figuratively, I mean. ;) "I will pray for your safe return, my lord. Just like I pray for the kings." afsfsdfkj XD XD XD
Cersei is a cynical realist. She was correct about the rape threat looming over everybody, and she had reasons to prefer poisoning her own son rather than let him be dragged in front of Stannis and go through a public execution... I mean yeah, I totally get why she was drinking so much. I love that she dragged Sansa into her drinking binge, haha.
I doubt it! I think the make-up and stuff would make it harder for the actor to do his job. I mean, he needs his face to act. They wouldn't ruin Emmy-winning talent just to be faithful to the books. I bet he'll just get a badass scar. :)
Yeah. Cersei was like FFFFFFFF while Sansa was holding prayer circle's and bamfing everyone in there. Sansa appears to be super in the dark in the show, but it's not like she can actually say anything. So they had her throw shade at everyone and it was awesome. Cersei knew exactly what was going to happen if King's Landing had been taken, and was trying to deal with it as things were slowly looking worse and worse.
lmao, her drinking cracks me up because Robert was a drunk, and as the series progresses she becomes more and more paranoid and just keeps on drinking.
If they were going to do it, I think they would do it the same way that the HP movies pulled off Voldemort's nose. They had little trackers on his face so they could CGI his nose off later. They'd probably do the same, but they'd probably only do the nose because I think that doing his lip would prove to be more difficult since you're nose isn't moving whenever you speak lol.
Yesss, I love steadily more-and-more alcoholic Cersei. Drunk Cersei is just good entertainment.
IDK. I think it would obscure some facial expressions and stuff, and as an actor he needs to convey Tyrion's emotions. I just don't think they'll do anything that might jeopardize that.
THE RAINS OF CASTAMERE. OMG! THEY SANG IT! THEY SANG IT, CARRO! AND THEN THEY PLAYED IT AT THE END. AND IT WAS THE NATIONAL. THE NATIONAL! THIS DESERVES SUPER CAPS BUT I DON'T HAVE ANY! I think that voice only enhances the feeling of the song to me. Because it's not a victory song, not really. It's... I have feelings about this song.
I don't exactly enjoy watching nice characters get attacked with wildfire. This, exactly. Between Tyrion and Davos, I don't know who to love more. The two of them could reign the world, if you ask me.
The wildfire actually impressed me. I always thought of it as just green fire, but they made it so much better than I had imagined. And I think the looks on the faces of Tyrion and the Hound were excellent. That look of horror, knowing the utter destruction they were bringing to humans. I thought the acting there was really good, but then, so many people did a great job this episode. Sansa!(!!!) Insulting Joffrey by talking about Robb.
I loved the moment between the Hound and Bronn on the battlefield.
( ... )
IT WAS AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING. AND I TOO HAVE MIXED FEELING ABOUT THAT SONGS BECAUSE OF REASONS AS YOU KNOW, BUT OH MY GOD IT WAS JUST GLORIOUS.
It was a heartbreaking moment for me, when the wildfire hit Davos' ship. :( At least Tyrion looked suitably sad. Joff looked ecstatic! I think the Hound was probably reacting stronger than he would have, because of the fire element.
"You're right, I'm stupid. Of course you'll be in the vanguard!" SO MUCH LOVE FOR SANSA. GRRM writes the best Sansa. ♥
lmao I was also confused by Loras-Lancel! They're like twins when there's a darkly lit episode like this. I kept thinking Lancel was Loras every now and then during the battle.
I think the chain would have been very difficult to translate to TV format. And it wasn't really needed, so it makes sense to save the budget for other things. I mean, next ep is House of the Undying and probably part of the prologue to book #3... it will be fantastic to watch, as long as they have money left over from this episode. :)
I love that the Tyrells teamed up with the Lannisters. It's just so perfect. Stannis pissed them off by killing Renly, and they're not gonna let that one slide.
It makes perfect sense, yet it's something no one would have seen coming back when Renly & Marg were negotiating with Cat to ally with the Starks. I love that it's a twist but still logical and understandable.
THE NATIONAL THE NATIONAL THE NATIONAL THE NATIONAL THE NATIONAL THE NATIONAL THE NATIONAL THE NATIONAL THE NATIONAL. My other thoughts are summed up on my blog, but the *important* bit is basically: THE NATIONALLLLLLLLLLL I HEART THEM SO MUCH. <3
So torn. Should (have) be(en) rooting for Stannis, because I love Davos, but then -
I'm still upset about Renly's death. Even after all these years. I loved Renly, dammit.
Pretty much that. So sad in the books, and grew even more attached to him during the season. Cersei was fierce, being ready to poison Tommen. Loved that song, THAT SONG.
