Becky was bored.

Bored for Becky meant that she was practicing. And by "practicing," it is meant that she had arranged her target pictures on her ceiling and was shooting a nerf gun at them while on her back.

She'd use her real gun, but Miho didn't like the holes in the ceiling.

"You're really happy tonight," GOB noted.

"I'm always happy," she said delusionally.

GOB let most of the lie go but noted, "Not this happy."

She shrugged. "It's not a big deal."

[bluth_illusions]

"If you say so," GOB said, still not convinced. "Are you sure that everything's okay, though?"

"Everything's great," she said, and some part of her knew she should just say it. "I...just realized something, that's all."

This worried GOB. He couldn't think of anything that Becky could realize that would end well for him. "Oh?"

She got to her feet, because didn't people say this stuff while standin, and started, "I...um. I realized...."

And she decided that maybe she shouldn't. "I realized that it's not important. Nevermind."

"You've been acting weird all night," GOB said. "I want to know why. Come on! Tell me whatever it is." He was terrified.

[lesssexthanmiho]

"I'm not acting weird," she said defensively.

Stalling? Oh yes.

[bluth_illusions]

"You're smiling and acting nervous and not saying whatever's on your mind," GOB said. "That's weird."

[lesssexthanmiho]

"It's not important," she repeated. "I just - I love you. Okay? Happy now? I realized it and I realized I have for awhile and I've never said it to anyone before so it better damn well mean something to you."

Becky was suddenly finding her boots fascinating.

And also preparing to draw her real gun if he said the wrong thing.

And in that moment, GOB realized that he had finally won and got Becky to admit that there was something substantial between them. It took long enough, but it happened.

"I love you, too," GOB said. "I have since before that first time I said it and you chased me out of here. I don't know if I've ever felt anything this strong for anyone before." He figured that would keep her happy.

Even Becky had to admit that was a good response to hear.

"...really?" she asked, looking up and actually looking pretty insecure.

"Really," GOB said, stepping over to run a hand reassuringly through her hair. He certainly did mean a lot of it.

Becky went up on her toes and kissed him.
