I got my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday. I'm in a little bit of pain, not too bad though. They have me loaded up with OXYCODONE, which is taking the sting out of things. I'm on quarters, which means I am supposed to stay in my room for 72 hrs, and I am exempt from PT. I still plan to sneak out sometime tomorrow to see the Corpse Bride, which looks ( Read more... )

oxycodine is some strong shit, just ask courtney love :P seriously, they didnt have that shit when I got mine pulled; my meds were named "tough it out" and I was in bed for two weeks. :P :(
N E way, how the hell did you avoid this till you were almost 30????
most people get it done at like 18....

You're going to Heidelberg? That's sweet! I used to be at Ramstein, they have a rivalry similar to Melbourne and Satellite, especially when you add the Army vs. AF issue. But Heidelberg is an awesome place to be stationed! Killer city with plenty to do and great locality to a lot of great things like Oktoberfest (it's in September, btw) in Munich and skiing in the Alps, not too far for a weekend in France either. Oh, and every year they do a fireworks display to recreate the burning of the Heidelberg castle and it's awesome to sit on the riverbank and watch!

Congrats on surviving basic, AIT, and then the dentist!

Yes, we're listening. Reading even. And I feel your pain buddy, I had 8 (yes, eight) teeth out at once in January. I thought my cheeks would never revert down to their normal size. Yikes. All the spaces are gone now though, which is cool so it was worth it. :)
Stay medicated and hang in there.
