Hear, hear! Yeah, ditto. It's hard to make those distinctions sometimes, especially when removed from seeing the target audience as on the internetz.

Hi, I was wondering how your sore foot turned out. I took a lot of grief (and somehow still am!) for suggesting you get off it and put some ice on it and wait a few days.

In fact, I'm still being snarked at for making that suggestion.

Would you mind telling me how it all turned out? It'd bring some resolution to me either way. Thanks.

After making a zillion phone calls and finding a hospital who said they would x-ray it for charity care, I basically took your advice and within another week I was feeling much better. I figured since I had an option as far as treatment, I could afford to simply stay off it for a while longer. My speculation now is that I re-injured a sprain from a year or 2 ago. I am getting around just fine now.
