Nick Bostrum's Argument:

The philosopher Nick Bostrum investigated the possibility that we may be living in a simulation.  A simplified version of his argument is:

I would say more space.

Yeah, the Matrix is to the theory of simulated reality what Braveheart is to William Wallace, or what the DaVinci Code is to New Testament apocrypha. You almost can't discuss one now without mentioning the other.

what if within the simulation, there are AI's with knowledge of this simulation, but whose whole purpose is to discredit these kinds of theories so as to preserve the continued notion that this is in fact real life. They do this by creating world problems that have us easily focused on that rather than exploring the possibility we're in a simulation.

these AI's are called politicians.

lol... I guess the only way to disprove that would be to find a politician who openly endorses the theory of simulated reality.
