I hate CNN, but I was wrapped up in watching the images of the Middle East that they were showing this afternoon. The destruction is just heartbreaking. I feel so useless sitting there in my living room watching people dig their loved ones out of rubble. I wish there was more I could do. Thanks for sharing your words. I often feel the same helplessness and realize that it's often so easy to just tune everything out. But if we did that then nothing positive would get done and people would just keep on being able to run around recklessly doing as they see fit. Just by being aware, you're ahead of the game moreso than a lot of people.

I really should give blood too. I don't think I've ever done it.

Thanks for the kind words and support. :) You're very right that at least paying attention is a lot more than many people do.

I started giving blood at Mac because they set up stations on campus every couple of months. It's pretty easy to set-up and even change an appointment at a donor clinic, and it only takes about an hour of your time. Plus there are yummy cookies and juice!
