You could always say "Well, we had trays in the high school caf so I've got that coordination down"

Seriously? All food related jobs with customers are the same. Concessions was way harder than any waitress job I've ever had. They don't deserve you anyway!

I just thought about it, and if you are interested I can ask Nick if they have any openings in his company. I would be an accounts management position for an internet phone company, but if you're cool with that ...

Oh please, interviewer needs to get off their high horse. You've taken orders, you've handled food, you're good to go! At the restaurant I used to work at I trained a new server who had to ask me how to take drink orders. And if she didn't know the answer to a question about the food, she just made something up. If she turned out to be wrong? "The kitchen must have messed it up."

Next time I'll know to just say "Yes, I have experience" 'cause dammit, the concession stand is close enough. I had to take their orders, remember their orders, put together the orders, ring 'em up and shoo 'em away. . . everything but a table involved ;)

Also, "the kitchen must have messed it up" = worse ever. That's ridiculous for her to have done/said.
