It’s an August Sunday evening, the last day of my daytime ER shift. Starting tomorrow, I will be in the evening shift from 7 PM to 7 AM the next day. So far, the ER experience has been amazing. A refreshing take on the ER, Choking. : ) I'm glad there are people, caregivers, who find the frenetic energy of thr ER attractive, if not intoxicating. I'm smiling as i read your post because we have opposite views. I hated being the triage nurse. I liked that it was a bit more cerebral and not as routine usual but the contrast between the flippant but very sick people and the impossibly demanding but not really sick ones made me so disgruntled that by the end of the shift, I just want to scream.
Oh well.

I am having fun like in no other service rotation. Though I don't want to jinx it and have a hard time in the end, it is so far a good thing.
