time and space

This article basically states that in 2 billion years or so, our galaxy will be uninhabitable. Not that humanity will survive that long, but it still makes you think. Everything we've built our entire existances around will be gone.

AKA Impending doom.

On another note, I saw Deja Vu finally. More on that later.

Despite the fact that I know I shall not be around by then, I still find that unsettling. The whole estimated date of it. But humanity won't be around by then anyway. We're bound to blow ourselves up? Or just leave?

... also, to be a dork, Doctor Who is surprisingly accurate O-o (there's one episode where the Earth ends in the year 5 billion)

As I said before, it's more than just humanity not being around, it's the fact that the entire galaxy as we know it will be gone.

And that's cool about Dr. Who, because that's will the sun might get all sucked into Andromeda.

Wow, I've been talking about that stuff all week. (I'm on a fleid trip of sorts for astronomy class).

I just have to say... I have a feeling our civilization won't even last that long, anyway. Not that that would make you feel better or anything, but... yeah. Maybe I'm a pessimist? A realist? I dunno.

Well, it's more among the lines of... It's not as if moving to Mars or the moon or anything will help humanity in the long run. It's most likely for the best.
