Magic: Dying will flames?

Note: Since dying will flames do not appear to be scientific, I think they qualify as a type of magic.

Observations: Among worlds that have magic, summoning seems to be fairly common.

More worlds seem to have a mixture of magic and technology than I would have expected. There are also varying degrees of separation between the two entities, with one extreme example in which the two are contained within different realities. The opposite is also true in a world in which both magic and science are combined to form one single entity.

It also seems that there are multiple versions of the same world, with varying degrees of science and magic. For example, one person's Earth may only contain technology and another may contain both technology and magic. Perhaps these worlds exist along parallel dimensions?
