I like your third way. :)

Lethe and Prometheus! And whoa, how was I completely unaware that you were Yvaine? (No wonder she's awesome and the icons are beautiful!)

Rambling is the one true way. (And probably because Yvaine's anti-social! *rolls eyes* One day I will be able to make her speak to others.)

But: Topic. Yes! So on it!

In short? Lethe loves him. He's wonderful and lovely and he's family. (But in the 'Wow, you are made of awesome. You really should visit more - it is a terrible shame that you live so far away. What would you like for Christmas? Would you like to share my cocoa?'-way, as opposed to the 'Gods, I cannot believe that I am related to you.'-way.) She's comfortable around him, probably more so than she is on her own sometimes, and he sort of encourages the silly side of her.

This is not to imply that if ordered she wouldn't do exactly what he told her to. But she doesn't worry about being ordered, because she would very likely do anything he needed anyway. Even without the asking.

And I am working on Kore-Seph's view of Lethe, but...

The river on the Lady.

(Lethe loves it at home, despite the fact that she now knows the very very stark contrast between home and the rest of the world. But it's still home and it's hers and she's very much allowed to like it all she wants.)

AHEM. YES.

The Lady is beautiful and the Lady brings, for all that she is dark like the rest of them when she is home, sunshine with her. Or at least she is something very much like it. (Which is something that all of the dark things secretly crave sometimes.) The Underworld is brighter when the Lady is there. And there is nothing wrong with wanting to see the Lord Hades happy - because he does deserve it, even if other people would not exactly tend to think so ( ... )

Sophie is Yvaine's ideal human. :D! She's sensible and she speaks her mind and she absolutely does not take nonsense. She's utterly admirable. Which, in Yvaine's language of 'I refuse to admit to anything. It might incriminate me!' means that she really thinks of Sophie as her friend - and, even if she's not very sure how to go about it (sisters are kind of built-in friends, they have no choice but to deal with you) she wants to be Sophie's friend too.

They rather get each other, which is new and novel and lovely.

And, gods, the idea that Sophie felt that it was alright made her feel not entirely like she was losing her mind with all of that 'falling in love'-nonsense. Which she really needed. Not that she wouldn't have done it anyhow, just that she would have been far more snippy and a lot less generally accepting of the concept. Sophie's opinion on matters actually gets serious consideration.
