what are they being pulled from their natural habitats and being put into captivity? or getting hunted by poachers to extinction?
i don't understand why they just don't pull a few, mate them to the best genetic diversity and then place them back in their environment to repopulate in larger numbers best placed with the highest genetic diversity so they won't be facing extinction, and will be more adaptable to their environments.
or are their environments just being sucked away?

HOW ABOUT NOT BEING SO VAGUE HUH!? hahaha.

its not very easy to get animals to mate in captivity. and with a lot of endangered species, its impossible to get a good genetic diversity because their numbers are so low.
