If you get a chance, I highly recommend the Churchill Museum and Cabinet War Rooms. It's a lot of very interesting history packed into a very small space, and I personally think it's worth it just to take the self-guided audio tour and listen to a bunch of Churchill's more famous speeches (totally stirring and inspiring, even in this age of political cynicism). And hey, the rooms are small and there's a lot to look at and listen to, so maybe it'll be some rest from all the walking. :)
Oh, and I second the recommendation for a guided tour of the Tower of London.

Saint Paul's Cathedral is definitely worth seeing too!
