Mere hours before I have to submit my intent to home educate my children for another year, I received official word that I was done home educating the two school aged ones for this year. I received this word approximately 14 minutes after emailing in the last of my paperwork to the kindly superintendent of homeschooling. I wasn't even late. I can't ( Read more... )

pardon my ignorance but what does this mean?

chris decided to buy "dad is fat". then I read it and he's mostly through it. I love the big family/home birth/catholic dynamic and that he's all that and a mainstream comedian. just wish he wouldn't joke so much about his terrible eating habits.

I've read all of jane austen's novels.. I wish there were more than 6. wait, is clueless supposed to be based on one of them?

oh for some reason I read "done" as they weren't allowing you to continue.

I can't imagine a scenario where I would have to comply with all of this. I'm still trying to fit things like doing laundry into my routine, if I had outside requirements for homeschooling I guess I would give up on clean anything ever.

I've never seen clueless.. I guess if I had I might have picked up on that.

oops ambiguous wording.
No, I need to figure out next year. And start ordering stuff (cause if you can attach a scanned page a table of contents to your IHIP, then parts of your quarterly reports can read, "covered chapters 1-6 in Book A, see table of contents with IHIP" and it saves lots of typing time)

I'm still trying to fit laundry and cleaning in my routine. Seriously since we're not doing school my house has gotten so much cleaner because I have time to clean it. While I'm doing school, I'm too busy in the mornings to clean, and then either too exhausted or out doing something else in the afternoon and evening. And yes, I've trained my kids to do chores (we are stepping that up a bit over the summer) but even still, I can't get it all done easily.

I manage by ignoring it when I can and feeling despondent over it when I can't ignore it.

You should watch Clueless sometime. It's a great mid 90's high school movie. Hmm, you are way younger than me, aren't you? Might be less nostalgic for you but it's still really funny.
