Inspired by this
remarkable story, I decided to compile the list of 50 things I want to do in this lifetime. To make such a monumental task a little easier, I thought that it would make sense to break it up into three categories. It might take a while to really think this through, but here's my first attempt at it:
Lifetime goals:
- Stay fit and healthy to the absolute best of my ability.
- Find at least three people whom I can unconditionally rely upon.
- Visit every one of the 50 states of the Union. *
- Visit all the continents (except Antarctica).
- Find that one place I can really call my home.
- Always strive to simplify my life.
Practical goals:
- Get an MBA.
- Start a successful business.
- Own a Porsche, at least once.
- Get a gun license.
- Publish a book.
- Become a Yoga Master.
Experiences:
- See Pink Floyd in concert. **
- Drive across the country and back.
- Participate in a Burning Man festival.
What do you want to do before you die?
*
30 done, 20 to go.
** Other notable musicians whom I haven't seen yet include the Bangles, Eric Clapton, the Corrs, Dido, the Donnas, the Eagles, Green Day, Madonna, Poe, Bob Seger, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Shania Twain, Violent Femmes, Robbie Williams, U2, and ZZ Top. Those whom I'd love to see again include AC/DC, Aerosmith, the Everly Brothers, Jewel, Billy Joel, Elton John, Bon Jovi, KISS, Lords of Acid, Meat Loaf, Paul McCartney, Metallica, Santana, the Scorpions, Paul Simon, and They Might Be Giants.
