And ow! about the staple. I went through one of the architect's rights of ... architecthood ... last term, when I sliced off the tip of my thumb with an Olfa blade. I had a flat thumb for a while, it was kind of cool : ) But it looks normal now.
It did hurt! Mostly because it was in a weird place such that no band-aid would stay on and, you know, you use your fingers a lot, so I touched it to things all the time.
It looked really neat, though. It never scabbed up, sou could see all the individual blood vessels. I wish I had taken a picture.
Cool! Where would you be playing the show? Would you have to pay a place to let you play? How does that work?
We'll be (hopefully) playing at the "Fuck You Fest." lol. It's a yearly local band thing that some people around here started, I dunno how long it's been going on...
We won't have to pay anything, however I don't think we'll get paid either.
Most places will either
a) Let you play for for free and if you can sell tickets, give you a small portion of the money you made them by selling the tickets
or
b) Make you sell a certain amount of tickets (50 or so) to be able to play a show, and you earn a small portion of the money for every ticket beyond your minimum that you sell.
I've never heard of anywhere that's made you pay to play... that'd be sucky! I wanna MAKE the money, not loose it lol.
