The real major drawback about where I live is the lack of a core grocery store nearby, I have this little grocery store but there really isn't much in there that makes it worth going to for just myself

1. Take a cab back from the grocery store, so it makes the shopping trip worthwhile. Plan meals in advance, and portion and freeze them accordingly. I make a lot of soups, casseroles, breads and such. Not having a place to get fresh stuff daily is a bitch.
2. Get a fan for the kitchen that blows air OUT. It'll keep the smoke and the smell out!
3. Everytime you have an outtage, demand a refund for the downtime. Hell figure out how much it's costing you per hour, and tell them as much. TBayTel was pretty good about doing that, but only if you said something.
Also, it sounds like you're on wireless internet or something. Ours drops if we get heavy snowfall or rain. Or if the power goes out because our repeater is up on a mountain annnnnd it's wireless.
Best of luck with the rest, and I hope Eric arrives safely soon. :)
Yeah I've been looking around for recipes. Cooking is actually going to be a lot of fun because both Eric and I love to cook. I consider myself pretty decent in the kitchen, but it's always good to learn more.
My parents are sending me my old window fan (like the one you had), which should be arriving sometime in the next week. So I'm really looking forward to that, just set it to suck everything right out of the kitchen.
Taking a cab back is probably a good idea, but right now it also feels like it would be a waste of time and money, with Eric coming in a few days we'll be going grocery shopping again anyway and he'll have a car so there'll be no need for a cab. It just seems wasteful when we're on a tight budget right now.
Yeah, they refunded me 2 weeks for all the hassle I had before. I keep track of when it goes down and for how long so that when I do complain I have some ammo, it's tiring though. Because I lose everything, I essentially just feel that much more lonely.
