Even if it's intentional, your dialogue kinda gets to me.
It sounds like the "I" character has rehearsed this in front of a mirror a thousand times.

I don't know.
I think you should lengthen it so you don't have to give away so much through dialogue. I don't think it was meant to be a vignette.
