Character Name: Nigredo (a.k.a Gaignun Kukai)
Age: 26
Series: Xenosaga
Job: Development Consultant

Canon: As is the case with most people in the world of Xenosaga, Nigredo hails not from what you would call a happy family background. Being born as one of 669 designer clone children? Not so bad. Being born for the ultimate purpose of killing God with your brain? Pretty bad. Being born supposedly for killing God with your brain but actually meant to kill your Favorite Special Brother in case he tries to, y'know, have this annoying thing called a mind of his own someday? Goes from very bad to Oh Hell No. It's enough to make a guy want to shoot someone-- though doing that at the wee age of 12 tends to leave more than a little smudge of trauma on the brain.

Fast-forward about a decade's worth of vaguely hinted backstory with regular doses of putting-past-behind-ing and we now have the man known to many as Gaignun Kukai, head honcho of the generously benevolent Kukai Foundation-- an undercover military investigation group turned corporate giant / tourism magnate / humanitarian trust fund. When not sticking a quiet hand in to halt the latest shenanigans of galactic terrorists or embarking on another crusade to save fellow nonhumans from inhumane exploitation, Gaignun spends his time financing giant phallic objects spaceships for a certain midget 'son', staffing said ships with said son's very own personal harem, and cleaning up the rather sticky messes said son tends to leave behind with said ship and said harem. ...not to mention the long walks on the beach. Calm, diplomatic and persuasive, his persona of the benevolent benefactor is often enough to soften even the most stubbornly opposed to his proposals.

And if it isn't, there's always the Jedi Mind Trick powers. That voice of his tends to be rather compelling.

Sample Entry:

I must accord the best of compliments to your welcoming committee, Madam Director; the tour of the grounds was nothing short of informative. While it was mildly concerning that a few members were separated in that brief incident with the goats, I was assured that their recovery would be relatively swift and painless, provided young Dick stayed in the box for the rest of the tour. Quite impressive; I think you would agree how difficult it is to find sufficiently hardened staff these days.

Now, to business; while I am aware that your Priority A-Plus-Plus transmission did request a full and immediate appraisal of the viability of Camp Fuck You Die as a prospective 'tourist trap', I'm afraid that I wasn't able to carry out more than a general visual assessment along the way, since the other members of the survey team were held up by security at the fort. Something about the large wooden badger we were asked to pull up the hill with us, I suppose; they seemed to take rather flatulent offense to it. I did expect an extended stay, but a few more able hands attached to the team would be useful for us to proceed with the assignment. ...yes, gangrenous ones would suffice, actually. Discrimination against handicap or species has never been a part of our policy, after all.

From what was observed, though, I believe I wouldn't be overconfident in saying that the zone does have excellent potential for some degree of ecotourism. The uncharted woods and its rich variety of unique species would appeal greatly to an adventurous demographic, though careful management would be required to minimize the human impact; the harsh deflowering of virgin forest by many a bold youth has often been a regrettable outcome of such activity, for lack of proper protection.

The presently established campsite needs little further expansion, apart from a few more well-placed cabins. I would recommend one or two improvements to some of the present installations, however; while the inflatable bar is a marvel of engineering and quite the attraction otherwise, a more rustic look would blend it in more naturally with the local environment. Skilled manpower shouldn't be an issue. I can see that you've managed to attract and keep in quite the eclectic talent pool as it is.

A few more days of research will be necessary, but the Kukai Foundation would be pleased to extend our financial support to your project thereafter. With your kind cooperation, of course.
