'she was sleeping safely in her room, with love around her' Yeah, from her parents in a fucking restaurant. Jebus this whole situation is starting to vex me, everyone whining 'OMGZ find Maddy!' like they actually knew her. Not enough people following the great British tradition of saying 'Bet the Parents did it' either.
That surprised me, too. Normally we only have to wait about a day and a half before we can start sewing seeds of doubt about the parents. 'Hmm, that Dad looks a bit suspect to me, his eyes are too close together', or 'her Mum didn't look that upset at the press conference, and anyway, its a bit weird to do a press conference that quickly'...and so on.
To be honest, I think there'd have been a shitstorm about two adults leaving their young kids in a hotel room and going to a restaurant if they'd have been common. But nah, because they're doctors and well-spoken and generally a bit minted it'd be totally unreasonable to suggest that they're crap parents.
They kind of are selling her, actually. Have you seen the Madelaine wristbands? They cost a quid, dunno where the money goes. I'd have bought one if they'd have been, like, 99p, but a quid's a bit steep. I can only stretch so far. The rent's gotta be paid, y'know...
