Week In The Life - Monday

Apr 02, 2012 18:43

Because I like to follow trends, I shall follow the recent one floating around journalling communities as of late, namely photographing my day as it goes.

Today I had a lot to do!

This is the book I'm reading - Neverwhere, by Neil Gaimen. I haven't gotten very far yet but it looks promising.

This is my bike - I went for a cycle today with my friend and it was raining :(( It's a city bike but I have a mountain bike too.

I tidied my room a bit today, there is nothing like fresh sheets!

This is the other book I'm (re)reading - it's called Further Under the Duvet by Marian Keyes. I really like Marian Keyes, she writes perfect chick-lit. This book is a collection of articles she has written, some published and some unpublished, and a few short stories. It's absolutely brilliant and makes me laugh so much - but there is also a serious side, with articles describing her alcoholism and depression. It's really good, seriously. Go check it out!

This is a dress that I bought yesterday - £2 in Asda, so why not? I'm going to make it into a long top, I think but my sowing machine is on the blink :((

This is the song I'm learning on the guitar at the moment - it's a Latin ballad by Santana called El Farol. It's really easy but sounds impressive when you get it right!

This is the crap I have in my pockets on any given day - iPod, loose change, a guitar pick, a USB and some gum. And my phone of course! The gum is Wrigley's Extra in spearmint, my favourite. If I can find it though I get the strips as I prefer them.

This is the view from my front door - it's a grey day :((

Today when I practised my guitar I played El Farol, Pumped Up Kicks by Foster the People and practised the C and D scales. This is my guitar, she's called Rose! She's a Epiphone LP Special II in Cherry! I got her for Christmas, isn't she lovely?

I had more photos but for some reason they uploaded incorrectly :(

Anyway, now I'm off to my zumba class. I broke the headlight on my bike, whoops so I quickly improvised using a bulb, battery, the old casing from the headlight and a magnet to make a new one! It's not fancy (connect the battery to the wire in the old casing to turn the light on) but it works so! The magnet is to stick it to my bike of course. Slán! (Goodbye in Irish.)

Oh, and just one thing: I promise to have some podfic up soooon. And I'm watching GoT tonight yay!
