a year in review
giving this meme a revival. it's interesting to compare it to last year.
stats
i posted eight podfics this year, which is actually more than i thought i had. i haven't really been in the podficcing spirit for the past... 5 months? i haven't posted anything longer than 40 minutes. the longest is character mugs, not couple mugs, at 38:07. the total amount recorded is 02:14:35. not too bad, really?
What was the best podfic you made this year?
i don't think any of them are the best - while i prefer some over others, i think they're all special. having said that, i do think becoming a lesbian is one of the better.
Most popular?
definitely character mugs, not couple mugs. it's had a great response and i'm very pleased.
Most underappreciated?
i'm happy with every single 'hey i liked this', kudos and nudge on twitter! however, the boy who killed time didn't light a spark or anything.
Personal favorite, for whatever reason?
character mugs, not couple mugs. i'm very fond of it.
Most difficult to make?
does it count if it's not posted yet? because otherwise, character mugs. seems to be a re-occuring theme, but i had to re-record quite a bit for that one, because of mispronunciation!
Most "ah ha ha I can't believe I'm doing this"?
close your eyes and think of england! such fun, but a bit of a departure from my usual.
Most fun to make?
new steps! it's an adorable not!fic that had me rolling around laughing when i read it first, and that followed through in the recording.
Was there one that didn't turn out the way you wanted?
i'm pretty happy with them all!
Biggest learning experience?
to speak more slowly, and that you should never rely on clap-editing, because you will always miss something.
What's next? Do you have any podfic goals for next year?
so much! i'm doing two longish hockey ones at the moment, and i'm trying to clear my backlog of bandom, which i fear will never be finished. :( i'm excited about one of the hockey ones in particular - it became a favourite the minute i read it, and i'm flying with the editing.
