"Nnnn, go 'way!" She does not sound happy.

Marco enters anyway. The knock was his version of polite.

"Sorry, but I needed to see how you were doing."

His usual pleasantly bland face gives nothing away.

She's still in her bedroom, surprisingly. Usually, she's at the window by this time of day. But today, she's still in bed, eyes bright with fever.
