Del's lab, where the portal comes out, is a friendly-looking place, with diagrams of skeletal structure all over the place, models, and a few half-finished projects, including a prosthetic hand. There are a number of doors leading out, and windows overlooking a city nightscape from a great height.

She leads him into the room, and offers him a seat in a comfy chair by her desk. "Today'll be mostly examintion, so we can get specifics."

He takes a seat where indicated and nods, looking about the room. Many things have caught his eye and he gazes at each of them in turn, occasionally reaching out to poke a knicknack or model.

She doesn't seem to mind. "We want to do an imaging scan of your entire body. Like an MRI, but with no magnets."
