1.23.09 Idolize
Seungri’s always been utterly enamored (star-struck in love) with Xiah Junsu from the beginning. He’s never once wavered from that path despite all the teasing from his friends and band-family (his family-family is generally incapable of such teasing- his parents hardly know who Dong Bang Shin Ki is, much less care and his dongsaeng has never had a better spazzing partner), always terribly and irrevocably caught up in Junsu’s easy charm.
So when Junsu makes a surprise call to ChinChin Radio for him, Seungri is tickled pink, happy, light, fizzy excitement welling up in him (because ‘I like your song might’ well be ‘You’re pretty cool Lee Seunghyun’ to his ears- same difference, right?). And even though Junsu says things about Youngbae and Daesung- after all, Junsu is friends with them, likes them, talks to them more than Lee Seunghyun with the awkwardly cute attempts at contact- hell, it’s still Seungri he called for isn’t it?
Junsu ends after a few short generic words of praise, but Seungri still couldn’t be happier over them, couldn’t possibly have his bubble burst no matter if Youngbae is hanging out with Junsu or Daesung is on the phone with his idol.
It doesn’t matter to him. After all, Seungri’s never quite learned not to get his hopes up.
