I know its just, it really is a big deal to me. For example we've found out the sour cream taco bell uses is not vegetarian, its not as big of a deal as say the flesh of an animal itself, but I really could not eat it. I had thought of just ignoring it for that one time (the first time I was confronted with the choice after finding out) and I guess I wanted to. I wanted the cheesy fiesta potatoes, and I COULD NOT do it. Whatever the reason it's important to me, and it's a part of my life. I dislike being told that no, it is in fact ok to eat animal flesh, you're still vegetarian if you do. >.< (ok in the sense of within the realm of vegetarianism, not as in general).

I understand completely.

And omg. There really are too many people who view ways of life as style who have no idea what anything is really about.

There is NOTHING inherently healthy about being a vegetarian. Animals ARE NOT on the same level as humans. Be a vegetarian all you want, but it DOES NOT make you better or healthier than non vegans.

Um actually, you are significantly less likely to get a dietary related illness when you cut meat out of your diet. However that has nothing or next to nothing to do with the entire point of this post. My entire reason for this is that if you eat chicken, no matter if it is ONLY chicken, you ARE NOT vegetarian. That is not what a vegetarian is. So you can fuck off.

Also animals have enough awareness to register pain and suffering, what gives you the right to deliver that upon another being?

the likelihood of catching a "dietary related illness" isn't what this person meant, haha.

Well I thought I was better than everyone before I was a vegetarian. Now I just KNOW I'm better than everyone else simply because I'm a vegetarian. Once a week Allison has to come deflate my dietary-pride induced swollen head before I am incapable of fitting it through doorways.
