1. I wanted to pet your wings the moment I first saw them, but you didn't look like you'd ever let me ...
2. I think I red somewhere that it's blue? It certainly suits you.
3. I'm still watching over my little friend, you know. Don't you dare hurt him.
4. Well, that's quite obviously the moment I walked into the library and you threw all sorts of wild accusations at my head and threatened me. (What do you mean not quite how it happened? I was completely innocent, but you wouldn't listen!)
5. A swan. Those large beautiful wings ... Yes, they're bigger than a swan's, but they remind me of one anyway.
6. How can you feel loyalty to that selfish head-god of yours? There can't be any true friendship between you, nor do I see any basis for respect.

1. ... I'm flattered, but I'm afraid your assumption was correct. It's really nothing personal.
2. It is blue. Thank you.
3. *laughs* I won't. He's growing at an amazing rate. Or perhaps not so amazing, considering his appetite.
4. And I am very, very sorry for that.
5. *laughs again, albeit a little bemusedly* Well, that's a first. Thank you.

6. He is my Lord and Father, and he is not selfish. He Created me and Named me and I feel His love within me; I carry His love and Presence within me at all times. How can I not love my Father when I feel His love for me?

I may not always like what I have to do, but as I said, He Created me and I am His instrument. He is Father to all His peoples, even if they do not know Him. I cannot explain why I love and respect Him so much, because it is a part of my being. I can't not love Him unless, for some reason, He forsook me and cut me away from His Presence. I'm an angel; my whole purpose is to do His bidding.

1. :(

6. You know, I had a father, too. Don't really know what became of him after I went to Asgard ...
I carry His love and Presence within me at all times.
*alarmed* Isn't that incest? ... I had his little incident with a horse once, but at least he wasn't related to me in any way ... I think.
He Created me and I am His instrument.
And that is abuse.

New thread! I apologise for him. (edited) cattygabriel December 10 2009, 17:36:56 UTC
*the room seems to have grown darker; his features are hard, eyes glittering*

Weak? Weak? You have never read a Bible, have you? The Flood. Sodom and Gomorrah. Crucifixion. The Crusades. The witch burnings. The conquistadores. The torments of Hell. The way that first battle ripped us apart. We have more blood on our hands than you will ever know, Loki Scar-lip, and no matter what I wish, Christianity is anything but weak.

You think that strength is equal to muscles and pride and freedom and rushing headlong into battle? Standing up for your rights? Any drunken fool can do that. Strength is the ability to endure, and you have not one iota of the strength I embody, that all angels possess.

Can't say that I have, no, but I always thought the Bible predated the Crusades, witch burnings and conquistadores.

Never mind, though. It doesn't matter. Because you are still preaching that people should be weak, meek and submissive. You're just inviting others to attack your faithful, drive them from their homes, steal their food and leave them to starve.

Strength means not only to fight off invaders, but to make them think twice about attacking in the first place.

It does. My point was that Christianity itself and the people who practice it are not weak. Unfortunately. They seem to fit with your definition of strength.

We preach that you should trust in God. It is not our fault if people misunderstand us. If He has given someone two arms to defend his home, then he should do so. Humans misinterpret His Word, as always, and then lay the blame on it.

That's preparedness.
