The introduction of this sexual assault allegation at the last minute is an interesting strategy. It has several implications, but the biggest one answers this question:

Blasey-Ford's accusation might be revenge. Kavanaugh's mother was involved in a foreclosure case involving Blasey-Ford's parents.

Feinstein waited so long because she, like the other Dems, are so desperate they're doing everything to keep him from getting confirmed.

Please be careful! There is NO evidence of that, and this story is making us look bad.

Judge Martha Kavanaugh made a very perfunctory, quite routine ruling to dismiss the case after the Blaseys were able to do a refinance deal.

She did NOT rule against the Blaseys, she just dropped the case after it was made moot. At the financing company's request.

That one of several judges involved was Brett Kavanaugh's mother seems at this point just an odd coincidence.

Ah. My mistake. At least it was settled.

One of my other LJ friends brought up that now-debunked story. I'll let him know that it was fake.

Not exactly fake, just misinterpreted.

Unfortunately, that misinterpretation is way too common. The accuser has so much else against her that this but is unnecessary. Most importantly, it's incorrect.
