...horrible, horrible tragedy ;( I hate to see history burn, and it was such a beautiful piece of architecture.

Yes, it's really horrible.
I've made 3D renders of this church at 1998...

It's not so bad, only 2 wooden domes were burn and nothing more. I hope it will be restored quickly.

...I have read that they were able to save most of the treasures before the fire became bad.

I just saw it, domes are still burning, but it didn't collapse, so it would probably be restored.
