It would be nice to be able to give aide in America without having to double check to make sure that the people you're giving aide too aren't scamming the system.

There's something terribly sad about that... from every angle.

I honestly don't know what bothers me more, the people who are scamming the system, or the people who are part of the system and stealing from those they should be helping. It's really sick either way. And yet people wonder why I don't have much faith in humanity.

I have a lot of faith in humanity, actually.

It's just sad sometimes.

I feel that individuals or small groups people can, and often do, amazing things. As far as a collective goes, I find that they often fail to impress me.

Still it doesn't surprise me that you feel differently. You have got to be one of the most forgiving people I know. (-:
