I really don't think you're missing anything... but then, that's just me.

Granted, I think you could probably just take certain parts of the movie and watch it and be all set and leave the vast majority of the inbetween parts behind and no one would be the wiser.

It's always amazing to me how a person's brain can edit the world around them (yes, I'm aware of the irony of me commenting on this). So is this a case of you always thinking that Scarlet was Elizabeth Taylor or a case of when you think of Vivian Leigh you see Elizabeth Taylor?
