Oh LJ, it's been too long. I've been wanting to post for ages, but can't usually come up with anything fun or interesting. Guess I'll just give a little update on me. I'm really not crazy about Birthdays but then labsquint reminded me that having a birthday is better than the alternative. She really knows how to put things into perspective ( Read more... )

Happy belated Birthday!
Can't wait to see what you come up with! I still love Aliens in a Spaceship the most, but this 100th episode came a very close second. I mean, that ending scene?! Heartbreaking.

OMG Smallville was really. LOTS OF CHLOLLIE

LOTS OF CHLOLLIE was the ONLY thing in that episode! If not for it, it would have been a waste. I WAS SO BORED!!! I think it was because there was NO Lois. The story just bored me to death. Chlollie saved the ep, but still I needed more! Can't wait for your Chlollie picspam. :)

Awww am sorry to hear about your nephew. :( *HUGS*Thanks. I was only 15 when he was born and I babysat him when he was small. I have SO many pictures of this kid when he was young. He was my subject that I photographed endlessly. SOO stinkin' cute! Even though I haven't seen him most of his life, I keep wondering what could I have done or said to him to help him make better choices. I feel just so sad that he's turned out more like his mom than anyone. I never wanted to talk down about her choices to him before but maybe somebody should have. Scares me ( ... )

I woke up today to two cute cards from my sons wishing me a Happy Birthday.

my eldest son has been invited to do Special Olympics so I'm excited. It's in May.

That's exciting! What will he be doing?

I also just found out that my 21 year old nephew (whom we gave the car to a couple of years ago) has been in and out of jail and is doing drugs. I can't tell you how much this breaks my heart. I'm not really surprised that he's following in his mom's footsteps but am incredibly sad about it. I can't help but feel I am partly to blame even though that's ridiculous. :(

You really shouldn't feel to blame. It's a terrible shame, but you can't be held responsible for his actions. I don't know that whole story, not by a long shot, but it sounds like you've done your best to help out when you can. And you can't ask for more than that.

I've never been to a Special Olympics and have NO experience. Talking with the teacher about it last week, I guess they're going to choose things for the kids but as of last week they didn't have the events chosen. I know it's very good for the kids and C is very physical/sports-oriented so I know he will love it. I do worry about Brayden, though, hoping he wont get the feeling that (again) he's left out. Since Special Olympics is on a Friday during school, I'm wondering if I should even tell B about it at all. Of course I should, just don't want the envy monster to show up.

I know this in my mind, but my heart wishes I'd have been able to influence him or something. I've rarely seen the boy since he was like 8 and he's kind of foreign to me now but that doesn't stop the pain.

That's hilarious because it's so like me. I've currently got about 40 tabs open in Firefox and 25 of them are LJ stories that I haven't gotten to yet. But once the tab is open, I will get there, it's just a matter of time...

YES it certainly was! I nearly fell asleep. Seeker was awesome, as usual! I should have watched that first.

Oh yeah I wondered why you didn't do your LJ post. Wasn't that going to be about Seeker? You still should do it.

Well, must hit two stores so I can get back and make more icons. I've made like 30 so far! I'm feeling embarrassed that it's taking me this long but I seriously just don't have much time anymore.
