Lost

That Lost finale was the most amazing thing ever. I have questions and confusion, but what an epic story and so beautifully crafted. When they said they had it planned out, they weren't kidding. Gah, love. Now it would be nice to hear the showrunners' interpretations of it but even if they don't I feel completely satisfied with it in every way. ( Read more... )

I may not have been a Jater and I also wasn't fond of Sawyer/Juliet, but I didn't feel cheated. The ending was perfect, the whole finale beyond awesome. I mayn not have gotten my favourite ship, but I've gotten a worthy ending that I can live with happily ever after.

Ah cool! I'm glad that you felt satisfied with the ending as well. I think I still would have felt fine about it if the ships had gone other ways as well, because I just love the characters themselves quite a bit.

Love love LOVED last night's episode. I don't know what I'll do now that it's over. I'm gonna miss Hurley and the entire cast so much.

Completely with you there, dear. Can't believe it's over. I WANT MORE! I'm nearly getting to the point of putting in my S1 DVDs to remind myself of the awesome of Season 1.

Really?? Personally, I was extremely disappointed. I found it all very moving and sweet and if the entire show were only the latest season then it would have been a great and beautiful ending. However, it didn't answer or wrap up anything EXCEPT for the season 6 flashes and parts of the s6 arc. All previous seasons and plots were totally retconned this last season...very important questions were completely ignored and the arcs that I started watching the show for were abandoned without explanation. As lovely as the idea of the ending was, I don't think it was at all appropriate as an ending to the LOST that began six years ago. I wasn't expecting every little question to be answered but I was expecting SOME stuff from the s1 - s4 arcs to be resolved. Oh well...glad that some people feel satisifed with it anyway :o)

I love all of the mystery as well as the well-written and very well-acted drama, but I love my characters more. Lost is all about questions... they never give you all of the answers and that's another thing that I loved. If they answered everything, it wouldn't be 'Lost' and I'm okay with that. Another thing I love about this show is that it's very open to personal interpretation. Resolutions aren't thrown at me like in so many other shows. I actually have to use my mind to decide what things mean on Lost. That's different and smart TV and appeals to me.

It's the characters and the relationships that I cared for most of all, and feel very satisfied in that regard with the end so... :)

I was happy about Kate/Jack getting back together... sort of.

And I did just watch one random episode of season 1. Well, I watched it 'cause it was Boone centric, but still. I missed the good ol'days SO much!

I hardly remember Boone's role in Season 1. I just remember his eyes! He was the eye candy of S1, that's all I recall. I plan to remind myself, though, because I own the first season on DVD.

Dude, Boone was/is my favorite character on that show! Sawyer might have been #2, followed by Charlie. But I LOVED Boone! The fact that he was the 1st to die made the rest of the show kind of sad. I loved it, but EVERY time I heard that sad little tune (duh, duh-duh, duh-duh-duh duuh duh-duh) I ALWAYS thought of Boone's death.

And I agree, he was major eye candy! Probably why I liked him so much! He's one of the main vampires on Vampire Diaries now. If you haven't seen that show yet, I suggest checking it out :) I think the Pilot is airing this week on the CW at 8 if you'd like to check it out :) It's a great show!

I haven't watched Lost in ages, never had enough patience to be a fan but after your post I decided to check the finale (since I knew that I'm rather safe emotionally:)) and I'm so happy I did it! Even not understanding quite a lot what was happening (and who exactly is alive or dead...) I was very, very moved. Beautiful and sweet.

Awww, it's very moving even from a viewer that hasn't watched in a while! I'm so glad to hear that. I think it's because the characters are so beautifully written and acted. It's hard to forget them. I'm glad you picked up the finale, Diar!
