So, I read Night by Elie Wiesel, and it was an ok book - heavy but boring. I have never felt so unmoved by the holocaust - which is odd considering my background. It seems then, that I live by three central dogmas now.

One. There is something good in everything, even if I lack the wit to see it.

Two. There is only one direction in life, and my eyes are open.

Three. I can sleep (in the figurative and literal sense) when I die.

I never lived by these ideas before. It seems to be working out for the best.

As I sit here, in the middleground reading 'Perspectives in Psychology', I realize how much bullshit this class really holds - especially in reference to the genetics/brain side of psychology.
