Sunday Morning, indoors while the heat is oooon

It is a lovely Sunday morning. He's gaming, I'm writing.

Or, rather, editing. I am halfway through The Artful Edit: On the practice of editing yourself by Susan Bell [Website] [Goodreads]. As a practical exercise, I've started transferring my Hufflepuff fic from ffnet to AO3 (about time!), with an intensive edit after leaving it untouched for ( Read more... )

I'm so glad someone else liked Kingsman! I'm trying to get my hubby to watch it, so I can watch it again. I could easily watch a Colin Firth marathon. :-)

I liked it so much I bought the blu-ray and I think I might have watched it 3 or 4 times already... Colin Firth is such a gentleman! Have you watched "A Single Man"? It is a beautiful, if only a bit sad movie.

Sorry for the super late reply. I haven't seen that movie, but I'll add it to my Netflix queue. Thanks for the recommendation!

Do you find Susan Bell's book useful? I find editing myself difficult--who doesn't?--and I wonder if it would be a book worth getting.

And I totally agree about the Minions movie! ;)

Yep. But then again, I have never received lessons on writing or editing, so I can't judge properly. People on Goodreads have left useful reviews with which I agree. Don't be afraid to check their opinion, as this is not a book to be spoiled. ; )

They are so adorable! I wish they had invested a bit more on the script instead of the famous voices for the villains. They were a bit cheap. Funny at times, but cheap and big-brushed.

It was both very productive and relaxing. : )

Lucky you! I sleep soaked in my own sweat, it's gross and unconfortable. I hadn't sweated so much since Japan! --> But I am thankful for the sun. I bear it happily thinking of the looong day hours. It gets dark only after 10 pm!

I certainly don't miss that. ;)

It gets dark around 9:30 here. Not too bad either. ;P
