Levi!
How was NYE spent in Madrid? Here, we were only allowed to be together with 2 households and max 5 people I think and curfew is 9 p.m. so if you couldn't sleep over than you had to leave around 8 a.m.
This is why I spent NYE completely alone, but that was okay as well. Fireworks were forbidden to be sold, but some people had still leftovers from previous years and as long as you don't leave your own home ground you could fire them. There was more going on around midnight than I expected, but obviously nobody was out on the streets anywhere. :) .....
Happy New Year! I don' know, since my family has played it safe and we haven't met for any meal together. At home, it was just the three of us and, aside from eating the 12 grapes early, we didn't do anything special. Spain had different policies depending on the region... It is all very confusing and I seriously fear the third wave...
I am sorry to read you were alone, but I hope you have already settled down a bit in your new place?
It is confusing, even here. Germany is so doomed and idiots keep popping up, it's so annoying. At least they've started with the vaccine now. How about in Spain?
Haha, I wish. Since the 24th I have done nothing but de-cluttering and packing up stuff at my father's house. I haven't had any time for anything else which is also why I haven't posted on LJ in ages. I hope I'll be done in a few days and then work resumes without me having a single day of downtime ... and packing at my current apartment will start. Soon after that moving happens and unpacking, cleaning up etc. will start. I really can't wait for everything to settle down. ^^;
Vaccinations have started already but it will be slow.
Oh dear. I don't envy you at all!!! I hope you are settled down in no time. It is such a hassle, but later it will be worth it. : ) If you are gonna throw away stuff, do it now! I suffered thrice: once with every move after Japan. I am such a hoarder!
Happy New Year (she says a month and a half late)! I hope 2021 will be an improvement over 2020. I refuse to believe it could be worse (she says whilst digging out from a snowpocalypse, chanting, "Positive thinking, positive thinking, positive thinking..."). Hahahahaha!
Don't worry! We had our own snowapocalypse last month and now I am confined every other week because someone in my kid's school gets infected. Just avoiding the plague seems good enogh to me. Take lots of care!
