Stores are closed here anyway. Schools are closed here anyway. We have a much stricter lockdown than you guys and in parts of Germany, especially where I'm from we have similar amounts of snow, but we're used to it and thus better prepared.
The keyword being "prepared". It doesn't snow like that in Madrid capital. It has been disastrous. A minor snow tsunami. Sure, it could have been worse. But ar least it stopped on Sunday and now it is all an ice rink over town.
I just had another crying flash. Only in our region we now have to all use super expensive FFP2 masks. Normal medical masks are not allowed anymore ..... everywhere else in Germany, rules are not that strict, although we don't have that high numbers ...
I'm currently in a state of mind where news like that just hit me hard. I'm quite sure they'll forbid moving any time soon ..... at least around here .....
It would be better not to follow the news right now, but then you go out and have to pay high fees as you didn't abide to rules you didn't even know existed, because what was allowed yesterday, is now forbidden. We live in such crazy times.
And there are so many people - like me - who thus far did follow the rules, but now have completely lost the will to follow rules that make no sense at all. And things will only get shittier and stricter from here on ....
Did houses collapse due to the weight of the snow?
It is crazy how things are going over there. Soon people will snap! When things are too strict over an extended period it is bound to turn ugly. Hang on in there!

Is it that different as you got snow in Japan?
Hope public services and stores get to work put soon, to avoid panic sprees. And you got classes back again? We still have home schooling.
Please take care and the weather gets better and the vaccines arrive soon!

Madrid was not prepared at all. I never saw my Japanese village collapsed like this...
Monday and Tuesday schools are closed. Which means working from home and taking care of the little one...
Thanks! You too!!
