As to your dad: I seriously would have either been shaking and shocked during the call and cried hysterically afterwards or I would have blasted the guy. My sister's dad (who adopted me when I was 3) did a similar thing to us. He and my mum got divorced when I was 9 and my sister was 2 and we never heard from him again. I've had so many fantasies where I somehow run into him and just know the exact horrible things to say to cut him to the bone.

My sister never even thinks about him and couldn't care less but he fucked up a lot of how I think about myself and my worth so I have a lot of bitterness and rage towards him.

In conclusion: Write the Mckay/Sheppard SPN verse story!

REGENCY IS EATING MY BRAIN. It just, it takes a different phrasing and frame of mind. And I may or may not run out of plot after the Simon/Kaylee wedding in another 5k words. There's romance things that I want to have happen, but, but, no actual physical progression. Although up until now, I've made a good show as a Mal/River fangirl, too, no matter that both have other pairings in the story

God, we need to talk about this properly. I mean. He should have at least - but. I don't know, it's good material for stories, anyway. One-track mind. And talk about the Regency, which is lovely. And god. I mean, I can understand his being too freaked to ask, but it's - it's his job to get over these things... which, plainly he hasn't been doing that much.
