Catching Up, Again ...

I guess it must be the summer ... yeah, let's blame it on the summer. I have not been keeping up with the journal like I said I would, nor do I really mind. I bet no one out in lj world really cares either, unless you like hearing that I worked, and on those Friday posts, saw a movie as well! That is my summer in a nutshell. Exciting huh? I totally agree with Hooker Slut (I dont know why her parents would name her that but ok). You are truly one of the laziest people I have ever met. I am so exhausted from working the past 17 hours that I can't even come up with some sarcastic remark to follow, for which I apologize. I really want to just crawl in bed but never can right after work. I just wanted to say however that when some people take up dead end jobs such as waitressing or cooking to get them through school, you have decided to dedicate your time to making a difference in as many different ways and lives as you can and that is so admirable that you have inspired me to volunteer for and help with as many things as I can. So I thank you. And p.s. if you ever want to make endless boring journal entries, you know they'll get read by people like me who are completely unable to function after a certain point in their day and need rather simple things to keep them occupied and amused until the are able to go to sleep.

Good Job Leah! I am sure I can find you some more things to volunteer for next year too, like my regional and national games, and whatnot. Hope the party went well! Keep up the volunteerism ...

Hey, JJ... I don't want this to come off the wrong way... but what's the big deal if people think you're gay? Maybe it's a guy thing, I don't know. But if you like girls, you know you're straight, and you don't have any problem getting the girls, then why does it matter what a bunch of fat old men think of you? It's not like they sit around "Hey, that good-looking young guy at the library, you know him? Yeah, well he's gay. Let's run him out of town." Now, I'm fully aware of how, ummmm..., tolerant?? (or not) Fowlerville is, but still.... who really gives a rats if a rumor says you're gay? I guess I just get sick of people who are like AAAHHHH someone thinks I'm gay... that must mean I'm diseased... MUST SQUASH RUMOR... instead of being like "You think I'm gay? Whatever. That's cool. I know some cool gay people. I'm glad you think I'm as cool as them." etc.

Well, I don't actually care what people think. I thought it was funny and I laughed about it. I know a lot of cool gay people too that I hang out. Squash rumor ... I was actually thinking of making it bigger by saying I was going to lunch with my boyfriend. That would really be fun in Fowlerville, because ... nope, no tolerance!! Ah well.

That would be so awesome! I say I'm going places with my 'girlfriend' all the time... meaning my girl who is my friend... and it gets taken the wrong way lots.

I was volunteering at a festival a couple of weeks ago with my very good friend Mandy. We were walking around a bit before our shift and this guy came up to us and asked if we wanted to sign a petition against same sex marriages. We both looked at him, said "no" rather sternly then walked away but as we did we grabbed each other's hands as though we were a couple. We looked back and the guy had this look of horror and disgust on his face, it was really amusing.
