Ahhhh this story is perfection!!! I don't even normally like zombie stories, and I fell for the story in this one hook, line and sinker. Awesomely action-packed and the banter was divine. I haven't had so much fun reading a story in I-don't-know-how-long.
*is confused* You don't like zombie stories? *shakes head*
Well to each her own.. *grins* I am glad you liked this. I think the slow build up helps, that and I don't really mention zombies until you are IN the story - no preconceptions.

I seriously can't think of a better comment, I have been rather meh about reading fic lately since I had to write this mother. So I am glad you feel it's up there in the goodness column.
I absolutely ♥ this! I loved that Logan was take-charge while Veronica was freaking out, and that Dick proved he's not completely stupid. It was refreshing. I was glad that they were able to rescue Keith and I choose to believe that they were saved in the end so that Logan and Veronica could get back together and be fluffy and happy forever and ever amen :-)
One question, because I just have to be a pest: where was Backup? I know it would have been difficult for story purposes to have him along, but Veronica wouldn't just leave him behind.
I think that by making the characters the opposite of what we have really seen, I was able to make them more human. Like yeah, Veronica is totally the kick-ass action figure, but when faced with ZOMBIES? I don't know. Logan, he isn't the slacker he likes to pretend he is, and by having him be teh zombie expert... I had a lot of fun. Dick... there IS more to his character, and I think that people do him a lot of diservice by making him ONLY be the partier or the sleaze.. I like to think he could be something more if he was given the right motivation. Enter the end of the world.
Backup. Well, it's a well-known fact that having a pet during zombietastic times is a bad idea - see Dawn of the Dead where a bunch of them die trying to save her dog. Also? with my ending... he would have been eaten, since dogs cannot climb ladders very well. I pretty much didn't include him because I don't see it working out in the long run, having him around would have meant someone would have had to die.. and I didn't want my main characters to outright

Yeah, that's why I figured you left him out, but I had to ask :-)
Yay! I love zombie!fic. I especially love that Logan and Dick are so capable and kickass, but it's all still plausibly in-character. But when they were stocking up on weapons and supplies, I was just waiting for someone to say, "You know what we need? Some rope." =)
See... I wanted to bust out the rope quotes.. but it just would mean I would need to use the rope later, and well.. I didnt' see THAT happening. Zombies.. no problem.. use of rope, stumped.
Logan and Dick totally have skills, we just haven't seen them yet.
Hee.. you gave me a reason to bust out my rope icon!!
