Well, here we are again, LiveJournal.  I don't know why, but I feel like posting.  Aside from Dani and Jazz, who still sometimes leave comments, I really don't know who still reads this.  But then I think it's safe to say I make these posts more for myself than anyone else ( Read more... )

Not to devalue your experience, because I'm sure what you want or are not sure you want is very individual, but I think the WANTING itself is common of many people in our age group/social position, at least from a lot of the conversations I've had over the past year. I mean to say kindly that you're not alone; I just have the terrible symptom of sounding like a grad student lately, lol.

Many people our age are at a place now where they can start their "lives," but that sudden feeling of the whole WORLD ahead is sort of nuts. Nice, after so much work to get to this point, but NUTS.

But hey, also, like you said: you're in Newfoundland, and with great friends. And! You have the rest of your life to figure out and find all the things you want. :)

Having time to figure out where you want to go in life can be a luxury, my friend. Mine happened upon me all too quickly. I miss those days of doing nothing to be sure, but the empty feeling that used to occupy my brain vanished with the birth of my daughter.

So I guess what I'm saying is... have a kid? No, just enjoy each day as it comes. Glad things are working well for you out there, minus the job part of it. (Considering it's Newfoundland, that doesn't surprise me.)

Like Dani said, sometimes life just happens to you.
