Truth or consequence, say it aloud, use that evidence, race it around

Something interesting happened the other day.  I got a girl's number - very randomly too.  Now, this might not seem especially interesting to most people.  But it's made more significant by the fact that I have NEVER gotten a girl's number before.  This is seriously the first time that someone I don't know has just handed me a piece of paper with ( Read more... )

Two upsides in one post, in reference to the last one! A job and a girl! That's got to be a good omen, so give her a call. The job market has been bad everywhere, believe you me, so I wouldn't worry too much about that. Chin up and eyes ahead and you'll get where you want to go.

call her.
doooo it.
seriously though, if you need something to talk about, then try to work together to figure out where you might have seen her before! If there are no sparks, at least you'll solve the mystery. Maybe she went to Pizza Hut a lot?
I find TONS of people familiar just to figure out they shop at my store often.

So it has recently come to my attention that I am a complete tool. Turns out, I've actually met this girl before in St. John's, though only briefly. She was at a party hosted by my friend Natalie, who is one of our mutual friends on Facebook. I don't think I really talked to her at all while I was there - too focused on Monica probably, go figure - but it would explain why she looks so familiar. I still can't shake the feeling that I know her from Zigs, but chances are she just looks a lot like someone else in Sudbury.

Anyway, that aside, I called her tonight (first night I've had off work for a while), but she was apparently on the phone with someone else and would be going to bed shortly thereafter. So she got my number and said she'd give me a call tomorrow. Of course, because it's me, I can't help but imagine all the scenarios where that's a bad sign (i.e. she changed her mind after giving me her number and is blowing me off) but I will try and remain hopeful. If nothing else, this will all make for a good story of how we
